Practice Areas

At Noah R. Friend Law Firm, PLLC, we provide Kentucky residents and business owners with myriad of options to their financial problems. Many have endured weeks and months of creditor harassment. Answering the door or opening the mail is an ordeal that they'd rather avoid. For business owners, massive debt problems could result in their livelihoods coming to an end.

Peace Of Mind Through Debt Relief

Noah Friend, the founder of our firm, focuses on the following areas of practice:

  • Chapter 7 bankruptcy The most popular type of debt relief for consumers and businesses is also referred to as a straight bankruptcy where assets are sold and the remaining debts are discharged.
  • Chapter 9 bankruptcy - Available exclusively to municipalities, allowing them to restructure their debts.
  • Chapter 13 bankruptcy — The complexities of a debt reorganization require the help of an attorney. A consumer's debt is reorganized into a three- to five-year repayment plan. The remaining amount is discharged, similar to a Chapter 7.
  • Chapter 11 bankruptcy — Instead of shuttering operations, businesses are allowed to maintain ownership and control of their assets and continue their operations while repaying their debts over three to five years. Some portion of the debt may be discharged, depending on income.
  • Chapter 12 bankruptcy — Filings are specifically for farm owners and have the same requirements as Chapter 11.

In addition to providing bankruptcy relief and protecting the civil rights of debtors under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, lawyer and founder Noah Friend also defends clients charged with federal crimes.
